Brief Description
of Our Organisation
Jan Vikas Kendra is a nonprofit organization which is based in hazaribag district of Jharkhand. This organization is working since More than 25 years in various thematic area like livelihood, human trafficking and strengthening village level institution , herbal medicine, Organic farming, skill based training for women and youth and awareness program regarding government schemes and protection of environment. We have also covered five district of Jharkhand for awareness program in right and entitlement. We are also networking with other NGOs and conducted workshop at state level and district level on various social issues. We are presently working in katkamsandi block of Hazaribag District, Pathalgada and Gidhour block of Chatra District in 60 villages under 12 panchayat to provide better livelihood option through agriculture and water harvesting and allied activities. Under this program we have repaired well which was worse condition and supposed to construction of small ponds and small check dam and construction of vermin compost pits. In the project village, we have promoted farmers club formation for bringing farmers together in unity in order access right and entitlement. In the project villages we promote women self help group, youth club through various training program. We have conducted skill training for women and youth in Bokaro and Ramgarh District. Under the human trafficking awareness program selected 200 villages of five district of Jharkhand presently.

To improve the agricultural practice by promoting of the modern farming methods, seed treatment and management
Inclusion
To ensure the mainstreaming of the tribal and Dalit people by using all facilities available in the area such as health, govt. schemes etc.
Empowerment
Empowerment of women, youth & farmers through formation of Self Help Groups, youth clubs & farmers club
Training
To provide employment-based skill training to young women and youth
Prevention
To reduce unsafe migration & human trafficking through various awareness & sensitization programmes
Irrigation
To arrange the irrigation facility for increase the productivity and at least two cropping pattern started in this project area
Herbalism
To encourage herbal and home remedies for better health
Sustainability
To ensure the food security and family income through production of various home made products.
Livelihood
To provide employment and livelihood opportunities for the marginalised labourers and their families.
